Esther Grant has been a podiatrist for 23 years and is well known by her patients for her high standards, energy and engaging client care. Esther’s main areas of treatment cover biomechanics, sport and workplace injuries, developmental conditions in children, poor balance and falls and injury prevention.
Esther continues to develop her treatment skills and stays up to date with the latest developments in podiatry and injury management. Depending on an individuals’ needs, Esther draws on lower limb manipulations and mobilisations, dry needling techniques, shockwave therapy, neural mobilisations, rockblading techniques, laser therapy, orthotic therapy and sports injury rehabilitation and management for treatment of podiatric conditions.
She has always had a passionate commitment to an holistic podiatry approach and looking at the whole bodies posture and gait and correcting this rather than just the bodies ‘pain response’. Esther states, “you wont just be issued with orthotics to fix your problem, and just sent away. I’m interested in forensically looking at why the problem started and fixing that first and foremost. That might be simply changing your footwear and improving your pelvic stability.”Esther has a reputation for being able to put her wide range of treatment skills to quick effect and there is no patient problem that she won’t diligently seek to assist with. Esther also believes in the power of the ‘shared care’ model, and over 20 years has built and maintains an extensive referral network with other medical professionals.
Esther is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association.
